Races

The three races are linked: the daily race on Snake Island earns a ticket to the weekly race, the weekly races in the cities earn a ticket to the Grand Race, and on the 28th the same island hosts the race for Pegasus Wings and Purple Lightning.

The road to the Grand Race

01 · daily

Daily races on Snake Island

Twice a day a 3-lap race starts on Snake Island. Everyone who reaches the finish within 30 minutes gets the finish reward, and the first five also open chests with tickets to the weekly race.

  1. Find the Wolf Cub

    It stands in the cities next to Land Steward Zu Long, including on all four sides of Archosaur.

  2. Set off 10 minutes before the start

    Choose “Compete in the race”. From 12:20 to 12:35 and from 21:20 to 21:35 the Wolf Cub takes you to Snake Island. You can visit the island once a day.

  3. Take the start

    At the NPC “Race: Snake Island, Start” press “Start!”. The start is open for 6 minutes: from 12:30 to 12:36 and from 21:30 to 21:36.

  4. Run 3 laps

    Each lap has 5 checkpoints. A checkpoint counts as soon as you run through it, and each lap ends at the start. Flying is not allowed on the island.

  5. Claim the finish reward

    After the fifth checkpoint of the last lap, talk to the start NPC: 5 000 experience, 1 250 spirit, 3 reputation and an Emblem of Speed.

  6. Open a chest on the slope

    Nearby on the slope stand 5 chests: for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, plus 2 Perfect Race Chests. Each one gives a Weekly Race Ticket, and the place chests add a reward. You can open only one.

NPC first, then the chest. A chest opens only after you have talked to the NPC about the finish reward, and your place is decided by the chest you manage to open. Whoever reaches the slope first gets first pick.

Weekly races in the cities

Every Wednesday at 19:00, 3 tracks start at once: around Etherblade, Plume City and Tusk Town. Anyone with a Weekly Race Ticket from the daily race can sign up.

  1. Sign up between Friday and Wednesday

    From Friday 19:00 to Wednesday 19:00, talk to the NPC “Race Registration”. It stands near Archosaur, and from Friday 19:00 also on the starting fields of the three cities.

  2. Choose one city

    You can sign up for only one track, and you cannot change your choice. After signing up you get a Race Ticket for your city.

  3. Start on Wednesday at 19:00

    On your city’s starting field, press “Start!” at the Weekly Race Dispatcher. The start is open for 5 minutes.

  4. Check in at the flags

    Follow the arrows and click the flag at each checkpoint: this counts the checkpoint and opens the next one. You have 30 minutes for the track.

  5. Finish on the starting field

    The last checkpoint is at the start. Everyone who finishes gets 1 000 000 experience, 300 reputation and an Emblem of Speed.

  6. Claim the winner’s prize

    After the start, a Weekly Race Chest appears near the starting field, one per track. Whoever opens it first after finishing gets the ★Wild Steed Mane and a Grand Race Ticket.

The server will remind you. 30 and 15 minutes before sign-up opens on Friday and before the start on Wednesday, a message goes out to the whole server. During the race a cheering squad lines the tracks.

03 · monthly, on the 28th

The Grand Race

Once a month, on the 28th at 22:30, the weekly race winners meet on Snake Island. The track runs over stone platforms and a path in the air. After the finish, 18 chests with certificates for coins, reputation and Mysterious Tokens await the leaders, and the champion also takes Pegasus Wings and Purple Lightning.

  1. Get a Grand Race Ticket

    The Weekly Race Chest gives it to the first on each track. You need the ticket both to travel to the island and to start.

  2. Travel with the Wolf Cub

    Choose “Enter the racecourse” and pay 5 000 coins. On the 28th, trips to the island start at 22:00, so you can walk the route before the start.

  3. Start at 22:30

    At the NPC “Grand Race Start” press “Begin”. The start accepts participants until 22:35.

  4. Check in at 4 checkpoints

    At each checkpoint, talk to its NPC, otherwise the next one will not count. Then comes “Grand Race: Finish”. You have 30 minutes, and flying is not allowed on the island.

  5. Open one chest

    After the finish you will find the Champion’s Treasure Chest, Treasure Chests for 2nd and 3rd place, and 15 Winner’s Treasure Chests. Opening a chest takes 10 seconds, and it holds a certificate. Each player gets one chest.

  6. Exchange the certificate

    General Xia Feng in Archosaur exchanges certificates on any day.

Rewards

What to do with the rewards

Experience, spirit, coins and reputation are credited right away. Items from the races each have their own use.

  • Emblem of Speed

    Given for every finish. The Envoys of the Seven Virtues in Etherblade, Tusk Town and Archosaur exchange 1 emblem for 2 000 spirit, and 10 emblems for a Trial of Speed.

  • Trial of Speed

    The Envoys of the Seven Virtues give 22 000 spirit for it, more than for 10 separate emblems. It is also part of the set of 7 trials that the Envoys exchange for a weapon.

  • Mysterious Tokens

    Exchanged for various items at the Mystic Merchant in Archosaur.

  • Pegasus Wings

    A level 45 cape. The Grand Race champion’s main trophy.

  • ★Wild Steed Mane

    A level 40 cape for the winner of a weekly race track.

  • Purple Lightning

    A mount egg. Hatch it in the “Pets” window (P key).

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How many times a day can I run the daily race?

Once. The Wolf Cub lets you onto Snake Island once a day, so pick either the 12:30 or the 21:30 race.

I finished, but the chests on the slope are gone

There are 5 chests, and the first five open them. The finish reward is still yours, and the chests will be back for the next race.

Why did the chest give me nothing?

Most often your inventory is full: the game warns you, and the reward does not arrive. Free up a few slots before the race.

Can I open two chests?

No. The first chest you open completes your race, and the rest are closed to you. The same goes for the Grand Race.

Can I change the city after signing up for the weekly race?

No. You can sign up for only one track, and the choice is final.

Where do I exchange a Grand Race certificate?

With General Xia Feng in Archosaur, on any day.

Can I fly over the track?

Not on Snake Island: flying is disabled there for all players, so the daily and Grand races are run on foot or on a mount.

How much time do I have for a race?

30 minutes from the start in any race.
